About this project:
New York’s diaper ingredient disclosure law, that went into effect in December 2025, is the first law in the U.S. to require manufacturers of diapers and adult incontinence products to include a list of ingredients on the package. This law creates an important opportunity to better understand what ingredients are present in baby diapers and adult incontinence products. This project will also help us look at how the law is being implemented and its impact on the national marketplace, identify gaps in disclosure, and build a stronger case for safer products.
This project is made possible in partnership with Clean+Healthy and Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter. We’re proud to collaborate with partner organizations committed to ingredient transparency, safer products, and stronger protections for families and communities.
